Who'd have thought that British High Street chain River Island would inspire a New York Fashion Week...

Well that's whappened after Adam Selman - popstar Rihanna's costume designer - got a taste for retail after collaborating with the chain as part of the singer's union with the store.
As Rihanna's closest sartorial collaborator for the past two years, Selman was introduced to her through his stylist boyfriend Mel Ottenberg. He acted as head of design for her range with River island, and is more than capable of running up outfits for the singer in a matter of hours. Now, Selman is spreading his wings with his debut collection for spring/summer 2014, which will be revealed on September 5.
